Since its inception in 1953, the La Reunion Plant Propagation Station (LRPPS) has been charged with the responsibility of supplying high-quality planting material to farmers and the wider community as well as being a store of clean and disease-free plant genetic resources for Trinidad and Tobago. Today, the La Reunion Propagation Station occupies 20 Acres of prime agricultural land at its Caroni North Bank Road station and is a major contributor to assisting Trinidad and Tobago achieve its goal of food security.
