FAO conducts a working session on land management and administration system

Land Tenure and Natural Resources Officer of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO),Ms Aurelie Bres conducts a working session on land management and administration system, with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries at the Ministry’s corporate headquarters in Chaguanas.

The session seeks to address structural and institutional weaknesses in agricultural land administration, inefficiencies in the system of land management and administration and a lack of a comprehensive land information management system including obsolete information technology systems and capacity gaps.

The session is attended by Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Farook Hosein; Acting Chief Technical Officer Dr Simone Titus; Acting Commissioner of State Lands Ms. Emeris Garraway-Hall; Director of Legal Services Ms .Natasha Hosein; Director of Land and Surveys Mr. Nasser Abdul and other Ministry and FAO officials.
