15,000 trees planted in 35 years!
“While nature may do most of the work in replenishing the stock of fruit trees, hunters can also help in targeting specific areas where there is tree loss through age, destruction or other factors.”
Such were the words of Senator the Honourable Clarence Rambharat, Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, as he delivered remarks at a Tree Planing Day, hosted by the South Eastern Hunters Association on Sunday 29th July, 2018.
The event which took place at Cats Hill Junction in Rio Claro, marked the Association’s 35th year involved in an exercise which they cited as being directly responsible for the planting of some 15,000 fruit and other trees throughout its tenure.
