Permanent Secretary (Ag.) in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries – Ms. Annalean Inniss
Ms. Annalean Inniss is a senior public sector executive and Attorney-at-Law with over 25 years of experience in public administration and leadership. She has now brought to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries a combination of her legal expertise with strategic management which knowledge can be a vital enhancement to the economic and agricultural sector. Since starting her public service career in 2006, Ms. Inniss has excelled in navigating complex administrative systems and promoting the achievement of government priorities with integrity.
Her public service career began in legal services, establishing her as a skilled analyst and sound decision-maker. She progressed through various senior legal and executive roles, adeptly translating legal knowledge into effective public policies and administrative outcomes. Ms. Inniss has provided strategic direction and oversight across diverse governmental functions, fostering institutional reform and improving service delivery through national programs.
Academically, Ms. Inniss holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of the West Indies, a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School, and an Executive MBA from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago, remaining engaged with current legal standards and practices.
In addition to her executive role, Ms. Inniss has significantly contributed to national governance through her involvement in various boards and committees across different sectors mainly telecommunications, finance, and culture.
